Shop Issues

Over the past 2 to 3 years, we have been utilizing a shop plugin for trade within the city. However, as a result of some issues within the plugin, it has created severe lag zones within the city for all players.

What are these lag zones and what is causing them?

The current lag zones within the city are as follows (in order of severity)

• Stalingrad
• Bella Vista
• Dakota Xchange

Attempts to fix have been to no avail

We became aware of this issue months ago and have been actively trying to fix the problem to no avail.

Potential Fix not going to be nice

After several tests, we have found a potential fix to the problem. However, this involves removing all shops that were created by a player or performing a complete plugin reset whereby all shops by all players are removed.

If your name appears here, you will be affected by a cleanup.

Fix may not be sustainable, looking for new plugin

As far as our tests go, we are unable to ascertain if the same issues will return at a later date. Hence, we are also looking for a new shop plugin to replace the existing shop plugin.

It has also recently come to our attention that development on the plugin has not been very active and thus remaining on this plugin may not be sustainable in the long run.

Hence, we are open to community suggestions for a new plugin to replace the existing shop plugin.

Please take the following into consideration when suggesting a plugin

• Ease of use
• Development activity

Going forward..

Currently, we are not implementing this fix yet as it may cause serious disruption to many. We will make a second announcement when action is taken.
